How to convert HEIC to JPG

    1. Add your HEIC photos

Drop up to 20 HEIC or HEIF files onto the panel, or choose them from your device. They stay where they are.

    2. Pick a quality

High keeps the most detail, Compact makes the smallest files. Balanced is a good default for sharing.

    3. Convert to JPG

Decoding and encoding happen on your device. The first conversion loads a small decoder, then the batch runs.

    4. Download your JPGs

Save everything as one zip, or download files one by one. Names keep the original photo name with a .jpg ending.

    Features

    • Works everywhere

Safari converts with its built-in decoder. On Chrome, Edge, and Firefox a decoder is loaded on demand — the first time only.

    • Nothing is uploaded

Photos are decoded and re-encoded inside this tab. A strict content security policy blocks outbound requests as a guarantee.

    • Batch or single

Convert up to 20 photos in one pass and grab them as a zip. Each file shows its size before and after.

    • No watermarks, no sign-up

The JPG you download is your photo, converted. No account, no email wall, nothing added to the image.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I convert HEIC to JPG without uploading my photos?

Use this tool. Add your HEIC files, choose a quality, and click Convert. Everything happens in your browser: the photo is decoded, re-encoded as JPG, and saved straight from the page. No server ever receives a copy.

Why do iPhone photos come out as HEIC?

iPhones save photos in HEIC by default because it takes about half the space of JPG at similar quality. The format is not as widely supported, so email attachments and older software sometimes need a JPG instead.

Does the converter work on Windows and Android?

Yes. Safari on Mac and iPhone uses its built-in HEIC decoder. On Chrome, Edge, and Firefox — including Windows and Android — the page loads a decoder the first time you convert, then runs the same local pipeline.

Will I lose quality converting HEIC to JPG?

Very little. HEIC and JPG both compress photos, so a second save adds a small amount of re-compression. High quality keeps files close to the original size; Compact trades a bit more detail for much smaller files.

    Is the EXIF data kept?

No. Metadata like camera settings and location is not carried over to the JPG. If you need to remove location data before sharing a photo, this takes care of it as a side effect.

Can I convert HEIC to JPG for free?

Yes, completely. No sign-up, no watermark, and no daily limit. Convert as many batches of up to 20 photos as you like.
