How to build a resume

  1. Fill in the form

Your details, education, experience, and skills. Everything types into the panel on the left and shows up in the live preview instantly.

  2. Check the preview

The preview is the exact layout the PDF uses — one clean, single-column, ATS-friendly template that screening software reads without trouble.

  3. Download

One click, and the PDF is generated in your browser. No gate, no watermark, no “upgrade to download”. It is yours.

Features

  • No paywall at export

Every “free” resume site that asks for a card at download is not free. This one has no payment page at all — there is nothing to cancel later.

  • ATS-friendly by design

Single column, standard section names, no tables or graphics hiding your text. What screening software sees is what you wrote.

  • Nothing uploaded

Your resume is built in this browser tab. A strict content security policy blocks outbound requests — the PDF never touches a server.

  • Saved in this browser

Your draft is kept in this browser’s local storage, so a refresh does not lose your work. No account, because your data is not on our side to lose.

Frequently asked questions

Is this resume builder really free?

Yes — completely. No account, no credit card, no trial, no watermark, and the export button is not locked behind anything. There is no payment page on this site at all.

How is it different from Zety, resume.io, and similar sites?

Those sites let you build a resume and then charge at download — customers report being billed $200–400 after trial periods ended. kitwisp has no billing system, so there is nothing to accidentally subscribe to.

Will it pass ATS screening?

The template is built for it: single column, standard headings, real selectable text, no tables or images. Most ATS software parses it cleanly.

Where is my data stored?

In your browser only. The form auto-saves to local storage; the PDF is generated on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind on any server.

Can I use a non-English name or text?

The template uses standard PDF fonts that cover Latin scripts. If your text includes characters those fonts cannot draw, the page warns you before export and substitutes them — switch those fields to Latin script for a clean result.

Can I keep editing later?

Your draft stays in this browser automatically. You can also download the data as a JSON file from the toolbar and load it back in any time.
